Design concept

Drawing inspiration from the surrounding region, Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley’s new guest rooms pay homage to its historic roots with elegant archways and smooth natural timber finishes exuding a heritage inspired look. With the accompaniment of in room Chrome Cast technology, eco low consumption LED lighting, ergonomic open plan wardrobes and a sense of fresh, uninterrupted space.

True to Crowne Plaza’s DNA, each of the guest rooms has been designed to offer maximum flexibility and restoration. Distinct zoning caters to the blended lifestyles of guests, with unrivalled connectivity, dedicated work and relaxation areas and Crowne Plaza’s Sleep Advantage program for a sensational night’s sleep.

Andres Coll, Senior Associate from design company Stack, says “From the beginning, we knew that acknowledging and engaging the heritage aspect of the building was important – it shows character, class and history, 3 things we did not want to lose in this refurbishment. At the same time we agreed each room must embody a getaway from the city environment that feels lighter, modern and ‘instagramable’ the moment you walk inside. The use of natural materials, soft colour palates and long LED lighting really helped us achieve this, along with the sophistication of the in room technology and its ergonomic layout.

Modern accommodation with two beds

With the fourth and final stage of the 105-room hotel scheduled to be completed by April 2021, the 18 month multimillion dollar refurbishment is sure to raise eyebrows for leisure travellers and corporates seeking a tranquil destination to relax and recharge.

Hotel General Manager Stephen Wills says, “the feedback from guests who have already stayed in our new rooms has been amazing. The light, fresh style and openness of each room is really the most notable change admired by those staying with us, along with the new bathrooms of course. Plus, we’re really excited because our best executive suites are still under refurbishment. We can’t wait for the feedback once these rooms are complete.”

Whilst Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valleys room refurbishment has taken centre stage, a number of other projects including the refurbishment of Villa Thalgo Day Spa and the hotels public guest bathrooms have also taken place. All this adds to the new look and feel of what now might be considered an unparalleled destination experience in the heart of the Hawkesbury.
